Getting Started

What is DeliverLah?

DeliverLah is a peer-to-peer walking delivery platform for Singapore. Senders post delivery jobs, and nearby Droppers (walkers) accept and deliver them on foot. No motorcycles, no vans — just people helping people.

Who can use DeliverLah?

Anyone aged 16 and above in Singapore. Under-18s require parental consent. You can sign up as a Sender (post deliveries), a Dropper (earn by delivering), or both.

Is there an age limit?

You must be at least 16 years old to use DeliverLah. Users under 18 must have parental or guardian consent. All Droppers must complete identity verification (KYC) before accepting their first job.

Do I need a vehicle?

No vehicle is required. DeliverLah is designed around walking-distance deliveries. As an independent contractor, you are responsible for your own method of getting from A to B and must comply with all applicable regulations (e.g. LTA rules for PMDs and bicycles) and carry appropriate insurance if using any device.

Is there an app I can download?

DeliverLah is a Progressive Web App (PWA). Visit www.deliverlah.com on your phone and tap "Add to Home Screen" — it works just like a native app. No app store download needed.

How do I sign up?

Go to www.deliverlah.com/signup, enter your email and name, choose your role (Sender, Dropper, or Both), and verify with a one-time code sent to your email. Accounts are approved within minutes during business hours.

I didn't receive my verification email

Check your spam or junk folder first. Hotmail and Outlook users may need to add hello@deliverlah.com to their contacts before trying again. If it still doesn't arrive, try using a different email address (Gmail works reliably) or contact us at hello@deliverlah.com.

Can I change my email address?

Yes. Go to Profile → Email Address → Change. Enter your new email and verify it with a one-time code. Once verified, your account email is updated immediately. You'll need to sign in again with the new email.

Payments & Pricing

How much does it cost to send a parcel?

Starting at S$4.50 for a Light parcel (under 3 kg), S$5.50 for Medium (3-5 kg), and S$7.00 for Heavy (5-8 kg). Distance surcharge of S$1.00 per km beyond 1 km. Batch discounts: 10% off for 3+ parcels, 15% off for 10+.

How much does the platform take?

A flat S$1.50 per delivery. No percentage cuts, no surge pricing, no merchant commissions. Droppers keep the rest.

How do Senders pay?

Via PayNow — Singapore's national instant payment system. Scan the QR code or transfer to our UEN when you post a job. Your job goes live once payment is verified.

When do Droppers get paid?

Within 24 hours of confirmed delivery. Payment is sent directly to your registered bank account via FAST transfer. No wallet, no cash — straight to your bank.

What if the Sender doesn't confirm delivery?

Deliveries are auto-confirmed after 2 hours if the Sender doesn't respond. Your earnings are then processed as normal.

Is there surge pricing?

No. Never. The price is the price. Senders can optionally add a priority fee (up to S$50) which goes 100% to the Dropper — but the base price never changes.

What are promo credits?

New users receive S$10 in promo credit (S$15 with a referral code). Credits are auto-applied at checkout and reduce your delivery cost. They expire after 30 days.

Can I get a refund?

Yes. If you cancel a job before a Dropper picks it up, your payment is refunded. PayNow refunds are processed via FAST transfer. Prepaid balance refunds are instant.

How does the referral programme work?

Every user gets a personal referral code (find yours at Profile → Invite Friends). Share it with friends — they get S$10 credit when they sign up, and you earn S$10 credit when they complete their first delivery or send. There's no limit on how many people you can refer.

Safety & Trust

How safe is the platform?

Every delivery has a full audit trail: GPS tracking, photo proof of delivery, time-stamped records, and bidirectional ratings. Both Senders and Droppers are verified. We have a dispute resolution system, fraud detection, and a community moderation team.

What if my parcel goes missing?

Raise a dispute from the My Jobs page within 2 hours of delivery. Our team reviews the GPS trail, photo proof, and delivery timestamps. If the dispute is upheld, your delivery fee is refunded. Please note: DeliverLah can refund the cost of the delivery service, but we cannot recover or compensate for the value of the parcel contents. We are a technology matching platform, not an insurer. If you are sending high-value items, we recommend arranging your own parcel insurance.

What if I have a bad experience with a Sender or Dropper?

Rate them after the delivery (1-5 stars). You can also file a report with 8 categories: harassment, fraud, theft, no-show, dangerous items, fake delivery, inappropriate behaviour, or other. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team.

Is my data safe?

Yes. Bank account numbers are encrypted with AES-256-GCM. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. All connections use HTTPS. We're fully PDPA-compliant with a designated Data Protection Officer. See our Privacy Policy for details.

What can I send?

Anything up to 8 kg — documents, packages, gifts, baked goods, meals, groceries, keys, clothes, and more. The Sender is responsible for proper packaging, especially for food items including temperature control and preventing spillage. DeliverLah is a parcel delivery platform — we match Senders with Droppers. We do not prepare, store, or handle the contents of any parcel.

What items are prohibited?

Weapons, drugs, controlled substances, alcohol, tobacco, flammable/explosive materials, live animals, counterfeit goods, and anything over 8 kg. Senders must confirm no prohibited items at checkout. Violations result in immediate account ban.

Can I arrange deliveries off-platform?

You're free to communicate with other users, but we strongly recommend keeping all transactions on the platform. Off-platform deliveries have no GPS tracking, no photo proof, no payment protection, and no dispute resolution. DeliverLah is your safety net.

How long does a delivery take?

Once a Dropper accepts, walking deliveries within 2 km usually complete in 15–30 minutes. Time-to-accept depends on time of day, your pickup area, and the Dropper community at the moment — if your job is sitting OPEN, boost it (+S$1, +S$2, or +S$5, all to the Dropper) to make it more attractive. You can track everything in real-time from the My Jobs page.

What if no one accepts my job?

DeliverLah's Dropper community is still growing, so time-to-accept depends on time of day, your pickup area, and what's already on the board. If your job is sitting OPEN, you have three options: (1) Boost the job — +S$1, +S$2, or +S$5, all of which goes 100% to the Dropper. Even a small boost helps a job stand out. (2) Cancel anytime before acceptance — full refund of the delivery fee back to your payment method or balance. (3) Drop us a line at hello@deliverlah.com — at our current size, the team can look into it personally.

How do I track my delivery?

Go to My Jobs and tap your active delivery. You'll see real-time GPS location of your Dropper on a map, live status updates (Accepted → Picked Up → In Transit → Delivered), the Dropper's name, rating, and phone number, and photo proof once the delivery is complete.

Is my parcel insured?

DeliverLah does not provide parcel insurance. We are a technology matching platform, not an insurer. If a dispute is upheld, we can refund the delivery fee — but we cannot compensate for the value of parcel contents. If you are sending high-value items, we strongly recommend arranging your own parcel insurance.

Respect & Boundaries

Can I contact the other person after the delivery is done?

No. The phone number shared for a job is task-scope only. Do not call, SMS, WhatsApp, or add the other party on social media based on contact details from the job — that's a boundary violation and can get your account banned. If you enjoyed the delivery and want to stay connected, follow them on DeliverLah from their /u/their-handle page. That's what Follow is built for.

How should I communicate during a delivery?

Keep it short, clear, and task-focused. Coordinate pickup, confirm the handover point, raise an issue if something's wrong — that's it. No small talk about looks, lifestyle, relationship status, religion, or politics. No photos or recordings of the other party without explicit consent. If you're unsure, ask yourself: does this message help complete the delivery?

Where should the handover take place?

Prefer public spaces — HDB lobby, void deck, condo guard house, building reception. Keep the handover brief; it's a contractual exchange, not a social visit. Droppers should not enter private residences unless the Sender explicitly requested into-unit delivery in the job note. Water is fine; sitting down for kopi is not.

Can I tip my Dropper, or give them a gift?

Use the built-in Priority Boost — 100% goes to the Dropper with a full transaction record. Do not hand cash, gift cards, or physical gifts at the door. Off-platform tips bypass our fraud and tax records, and can be read as grooming or coercion. Droppers who accept cash/gifts outside the platform risk a warning.

Can I open or photograph the parcel?

No. Droppers must not open, inspect, or photograph parcel contents — only the exterior if required for proof of delivery. Treat every parcel with courier-grade confidentiality. Do not discuss what was delivered with anyone, online or offline. If you suspect the parcel contains prohibited items, stop the delivery and report via My Jobs — do not open it yourself.

Can I recruit the other person for my business or another platform?

No. Do not use DeliverLah interactions to promote a side business, MLM, crypto scheme, another delivery platform, or any product. That includes handover conversations, ratings, disputes, and follow-up contact. Violations are immediate warnings, repeat offences are bans. DeliverLah is for deliveries — not leads.

What counts as inappropriate behaviour?

Romantic or sexual advances of any kind. Comments on appearance, body, attire. Asking personal questions (relationship, income, home setup). Repeated messaging after the delivery is CONFIRMED. Saving the other party's phone number to your phonebook. Photographing or recording them without consent. Retaliatory low ratings after a dispute. Threatening reviews to pressure the other party. Any of these can result in a warning, suspension, or permanent ban depending on severity.

Someone crossed the line — what do I do?

File a report from the job in My Jobs — pick the right category (Harassment, Inappropriate Behaviour, etc.) and describe what happened. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team within 24 hours during business days. Do not retaliate with a revenge rating or aggressive messages — that creates a second offence on your record. If you feel unsafe, call the Singapore Police at 999 first, then file the report.

For Droppers

How much can I earn?

From S$3.00 per delivery for Light parcels, plus S$1.00 per km beyond 1 km — 100% of the distance pay goes to you. Senders can also add priority fees that also go 100% to you. There's no cap — your earnings depend on how many jobs you complete.

Do I have to accept every job?

No. You browse the job board and choose what to accept. No penalties for declining. No minimum hours. No forced assignments. You're an independent contractor, not an employee.

Can I work for other delivery platforms at the same time?

Yes. There's no exclusivity requirement. You can use any other platform simultaneously. DeliverLah doesn't restrict where else you work.

Do I need to wear a uniform?

No. No uniform, no branding required. Deliver however you're comfortable.

What are Dropper tiers?

Bronze (default): 3 active jobs. Silver (20+ drops, 4.0+ rating): 5 active jobs + batch pickup. Gold (50+ drops, 4.5+ rating): 10 active jobs + batch pickup + first access to new jobs. Tiers never downgrade.

What do I need to start?

Complete identity verification: phone number, bank account for payouts, and an emergency contact. This is a one-time setup before your first job.

What are rewards?

Complete deliveries and reach milestones to unlock perks from our partner merchants — free food, drinks, and discounts. Check Profile → Rewards to see your available vouchers. Show the voucher to the merchant staff who will swipe to confirm your redemption.

For Businesses

Can I use DeliverLah for my business?

Yes. The Business Dashboard at /business gives you delivery history, monthly invoice exports, batch sending with CSV upload, recurring schedules, and API access for system integration. Browse our featured makers at deliverlah.com/makers to see businesses already using DeliverLah.

Do you charge merchant commissions?

No. Zero. The only fee is S$1.50 per delivery. We don't take a percentage of your sale or charge monthly subscriptions for basic use.

Can I integrate DeliverLah into my website?

Yes. If you run WooCommerce, install our free plugin at deliverlah.com/woocommerce — it adds DeliverLah as a shipping method at checkout with real-time pricing. For other platforms, use our REST API. Generate an API key from the Business Dashboard, top up a prepaid balance, and API jobs are processed instantly.

Is there a bulk discount?

Yes. 10% off for 3+ dropoffs in a batch, 15% off for 10+. You can upload dropoff addresses via CSV for batch processing.

Can I integrate DeliverLah into my POS system?

Yes. We have a REST API for direct integration and a Partner Programme for POS vendors who want to offer delivery across multiple merchant outlets. Visit deliverlah.com/developers for full API documentation or contact hello@deliverlah.com for partnership enquiries.
